A New Dawn in Nasarawa: Wadada’s Grand Entry into APC Signals Strength, Unity, and 2027 Momentum

History was made at the vibrant Lafia City Square as distinguished sons and daughters of Nasarawa State gathered in their thousands to witness a defining political moment — the official reception of Distinguished Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu and nine other prominent leaders into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The symbolic high point of the event came when the National Chairman of the party, Professor Nantawe Yilwatda Goshuwe formally handed over the party’s emblem — the broom — to the decampees. In APC tradition, this gesture is not merely ceremonial; it signifies full acceptance, shared responsibility, and collective purpose. With that singular act, every lingering doubt was laid to rest. Senator Wadada is not a guest in the APC — he is home.

A Rally of Unity and Renewed Hope

The mega rally, organized under the Renewed Hope Agenda in solidarity with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Governor Abdullahi Sule, was a spectacle of unity. Supporters poured in from all 13 Local Government Areas and Development Areas of the state, chanting in unison: “Wadada Governor 2027!”

The atmosphere was electric. Drums rolled. Voices rose. Hope was renewed.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Governor Sule expressed delight at the growing strength of the party and commended President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that improved federal allocations have significantly boosted infrastructure development and ongoing projects across Nasarawa State. His message was clear: progress thrives where unity exists.

A Big Ship with Room for All

In his remarks, the APC National Chairman described the party as a “big ship with enough room to accommodate all who are willing.” More importantly, he emphatically declared that Senator Wadada and the other de-campees now possess full rights and privileges — including the right to contest any position within the party at any level.

That pronouncement carries weight. It was not whispered in private; it was proclaimed publicly. It was not implied; it was declared without ambiguity.

For those who speculated, doubted, or spread unfounded rumors about Wadada’s status within the APC, the message could not have been clearer: he has been received, recognized, and empowered.

Also lending their voices were respected former governors of the state, Abdullahi Adamu and Tanko Al-Makura, who urged political actors to prioritize peace, development, and unity above personal interests as the 2027 election season approaches.
