Kwara Governor Hails President Tinubu’s Swift Action as 38 Abducted Worshippers freed

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decisive role in securing the release of 38 worshippers abducted from Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area.

Announcing the release on November 23, Governor AbdulRazaq described the outcome as a direct result of the President’s hands-on leadership. “This success underscores the unwavering commitment of President Tinubu to the safety and wellbeing of every Nigerian. His personal intervention made all the difference,” the Governor said.

President Tinubu had, according to the Governor, canceled a scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee efforts in Kwara and Kebbi States. He also directed an increased security presence in the state, sending four new tactical teams to reinforce local law enforcement.

Governor AbdulRazaq further commended the coordinated efforts of the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, and the Nigeria Police. He extended appreciation to security personnel across the board, religious leaders, thought leaders, and all Kwarans who offered support during the crisis.

“The release of these citizens is a moment of relief for our state, and it demonstrates what focused leadership and collaboration can achieve,” the Governor added
