A Chieftain of the Simplified Movement, Oyigbo Local Government Chapter, Chief Stanleyson Akaya has again defended Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s quest to restore peace in the crisis – prone state for massive development that will benefit the people.
Speaking with newsmen recently in Okoloma – Afam on the return of relative peace and development in the state as denied by previous administrations, Akaya maintained that he deserved it, because God has anointed him to change the face of governance in the state.
He stressed that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has commenced working to ensure that the eluded peace is restored.
Akaya also condemned in strong terms,calls by those he described as “enemies of Rivers progress,” who demanded for a state of emergency, such as, the factional leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha remains laughable.Hence, he commended the efforts of the governor within the past one year of this dispensation.
Citing the Siminalayi Fubara’s contribution as an example, Chief Stanleyson Akaya used the opportunity to admonish all those who felt that Governor Fubara and his administration has failed Rivers people to stop such political bitterness and hate- speeches that won’t do anybody any good.Rather, is poise to create problems in the polity.
Chief Stanleyson Akaya used the opportunity to urge detractors of the government to replicate the same gesture on their fields of endeavour to end insecurity and under- development that was foisted on the people 25 years of democracy rule.
He said: ” This man (Siminalayi Fubara) has not committed any sin that warrants such unnecessary political bickering and impeachment threats.”
Chief Stanleyson Akaya, a grassroots mobilizer in the LGA , also debunked the suspicion that decisions of Rivers people to queue behind the Governor and leader is wrong, as a result of facts that the doors of Rivers resources and wealth is under lock and key by the Chief Executive Officer.
He reiterated that the Governor has performed more better than successive governments in the state within the past one year of democratic governance, adding that those opposing the governor should come out to tell Rivers people the sins he committed, otherwise, every warring hatchets be halted for peace and development to continue to thrive.
He wondered why the Governor should not be allowed to discharge his mandate effectively.
Akaya enjoined the opposition camps to shun their political differences against the Governor for peace to return fully to the state.
