The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC ),Rivers State Chapter, has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara over the swearing -in of the newly appointed Caretaker Committee Chairmen recently to take charge of the LGAs at the expiration of the former Council bosses 

This move, IPAC said, demonstrates the Governor’s commitment to ensuring continuity and stability in the governance of the state.

We urge the newly appointed Caretaker Chairmen in the Local Government Areas of the state to render good governance at the grassroots, prioritizing the welfare and well-being of the people.

While we still expect the state government to organize Local Government election  to run the Councils in the next three years in the state,  we call on citizens to remain resolute in defending democratic tenets and supporting the new local government Caretaker Chairmen.

In a statement in Port Harcourt recently, and signed by  the State Chairman of IPAC, Hon. Sensei Solsuema  Osaro, said that IPAC will continue to work with the Rivers State Government (RSG ) to ensure the delivery of good governance to the people of Rivers State.

We hereby warn detractors who do not mean well to the state to desist from further acts that are inimical to the peace and welfare of Rivers people.

We urge the various security agencies to remain steadfast in maintaining peace and security, devoid of bias in the state, ensuring a conducive environment for governance and development.
