Pastor Moses Ademola Popoola, Minister-in-charge of the English Section, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Ilorin District Headquarters, has urged for a complete overhaul of Nigeria’s political architecture to reduce the cost of governance and ensure rapid development.

Speaking on the sidelines of the Oluwole Foundation Empowerment programme, Pastor Popoola emphasized the need for quality leadership and political will to prosecute corrupt individuals.

He also supported the establishment of State Police to address security challenges, noting that the federal police lack the capacity to tackle the issue.

The cleric argued that Nigeria’s problem is not with the system of government, but with leadership, and that a overhaul of the system is necessary.

He suggested that Nigeria should develop its own unique system of government, rather than borrowing from other countries.

Pastor Popoola also highlighted the challenges posed by inflation and high costs of goods, which almost led to the cancellation of the empowerment programme. Despite these challenges, the programme went ahead, empowering 60 church members with various items, including cash donations, sewing machines, and electrical tools.
