NIGERIA INTER-RELIGIOUS COUNCIL (NIREC), have called on the ASUU to as a matter of urgency call off the strike action they embarked upon since two months now.
Making this Clarion call during the first quarter of NIREC meeting 2022, at the REIZ CONTINENTAL HOTEL Abuja, His Eminence President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupe A. Ayokunle said their Eminences including the Sultan of Sokoto,the Emir of Kano made frantic efforts to meet with the ASUU Leadership to shelve the strike action they embarked upon,which was knocked down by them,thereby disrespecting them.
The CAN President opined that ASUU are playing politics with the future of Nigerian children, who are at home.he identified ASUU grievances against the federal who donated a million dollars to Afganistan.
Rev.Ayokunle urge the federal government as timely as possible,should resolve with ASUU.
There are hyperinflation in Nigeria today ,fuel situation in Nigeria is worsening while Nigerians are facing hardships.
“I,URGE the federal government to build and refix the old refineries so that there could be adequate supply of fuel”.
