FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE KEFFI TO COMMENCE KIDNEY DIALYSIS

The proposed kidney center and dialysis of the Federal Medical Center, keffi in Nasarawa State is billed to take off next year as all necessary infrastructural work are nearly been completed.

The Medical Director of the center Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu gave the assurance in an interview session with newsmen in his office, during the week, about the progress being recorded by the center as regards providing quality health care delivery services to the people.

He stated that funds for the purchase of the provision of all the necessary sophisticated medical equipments to be provided for the full take off of the center would be captured in the 2021 federal budget adding that the staff that would handle the center would be adequately trained to make the work successful.

Dr. Adamu then assured that all the important ground work would be completed by the center saying that other departments of the hospital were also not left out in undertaken one repair or improvement work or the other to make service provision to the patients effective and qualitative.

On the issue of the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) of the center, the Medical Director explained that the challenges being encountered was as a result of the new platform now been adopted by the center, assuring that efforts are now being put in place to rectify the challenges for greater services provision to the patients.

Speaking about the Tele- Medicine MRI and C T scan the Medical Director stated that the center is looking for an investor that would take over the management of the C T scan to ensure its prompt repairs whenever it broke down, saying that “It is better to have it function than not having it at all.

He therefore, stated that the center is determined to ensure that all it’s medical equipments and personnel of the center are working effectively adding that with such the patients would get the desired services.
