The Paramount Ruler of Kube Chiefdom in Panda Development Area of Karu Local Government of Nasarawa State Dr. Christopher Jatau has Built and donated a 100 seater capacity Friday Mosque to the Muslim Community in his Chiefdom.
Speaking with newsmen Dr. Jatau (a Christian) stated that the gesture was meant to further strengthen the bond of peaceful Co-existence Unity and harmony preventing in the area.
He explained that the provision of the worship centers which was equally given to his Christian faithful were also meant to re-enforce the spirit of togetherness and harmony which the people of this domain were known for long ago.
Jatau further explained that since the people were known for being their brothers keepers as such as their leaders of becomes highly imperative upon him to come and demonstrate such spirit with a view to lay a concrete and solid foundation for building a peaceful generation that would even outlive them.
“The gesture was meant to further demonstrate my commitment towards building a peaceful and harmonious community that would also dedicate itself towards the service of their creature and humanity as well so that together we can live harmoniously “he stated”.
The Paramount Ruler then advised the Muslim Community to use the worship place to pray for the continued peaceful co-existence, unity and harmony in the area, the state and the country as a while, assuring that as their leader would always be guided by the spirit of Justice equity and fairness to
with a view to earn the blessings and divine interventions from God the creator of all as well as love from the people.
Responding on behalf of the Muslim Community in the area Yusuf B Kukuri and the Chief Imam of the Mosque thanked the paramount Ruler for what he described a remarkable gesture and prayed the Almighty Allah to reward him abundantly.
The Imam who was highly elated that the gesture is coming from a person who have a different faith with them stated that such has really shows that he has all his people irrespective of their religions, social and political differences at his heart
and therefore urged all the well meaning people in the area and the state to emulate such a noble spirit.
